    TRIP COSTS AND PROJECT DONATIONS

  • PROJECT SUMMARY

     

    Trip Costs, Project Donations, Fundraising, Flights, Health and Visas

     

    All 2 week Projects have a Trip Cost of £1450 ($2000)

    The Trip Cost is the same for all our Projects.

    This is £450 ($600) per person and is due when you register your place.

     

    PLUS EITHER

    Pay your Project Donation of £1000 ($1400) as one final payment

    OR

    Raise that amount in sponsorship for the MAD Foundation charity on JustGiving

    (All funds must be with us 60 days prior to departure)

     

     

     

    The Trip Cost of £450 or $600 is payable to Madventurer when you register to secure your place, and we will email you a PayPal link to process this when we have received your online registration. A breakdown of what your Trip Cost covers is provided below.

     

    The Project Donation is due to Madventurer 60 Days before the start date of your Project and covers all the building materials we will use as part of your Project and funding for MAD Foundation projects in your Project country.

     

    You will be able to access the Full Trip Notes which will give you details of what to pack, what to do on arrivals, departures, itinerary, how to pay, visas, currency, local culture/language, safety, security, flights and travel insurance.

     

    Breakdown of Trip Costs

     

    Trips Cost per person includes the following:

     

    Airport pickup and return transfer

    All group meals (3 meals a day)

    All accommodation in hotels, guest houses and at Project sites (7 days a week)

    Transport throughout the Project activities

    24-hour support from MAD Project Leaders throughout entire project duration

    All project preparation including feasibility study, community consultation, risk assessments,

    public liability insurance to cover activities and logistical set-up

    Detailed pre-departure information including support for visa applications if required

    Pre-departure support and advice from travel experts in our UK

    Specially designed first-aid kits and first-aid trained staff on each Project location

     

    Donation to the Project (MAD Foundation)

     

    Project Donations can be done via offline fundraising or individual and group JustGiving pages – to the MAD (Make A Difference) Foundation.

     

    Your Fundraising Target as part of your Trip is £1000 or $1400 unless you feel you want to raise your target higher.

     

     

    Fundraising Support

     

    The individual Fundraising Targets direct to the MAD Foundation can all be raised by Just Giving (or an alternative fundraising platform if preferred) and covers a contribution towards MAD Foundation's sustainable development initiatives which includes the cost of all building materials and local skilled labour that will be tasked to your team during their visit, or finance to local entrepreneurs to kick start their businesses, plus packs of sports equipment to a selection of Primary Schools that includes installing football, volleyball and netball posts and nets, and a store of balls for the schools.

     

    We encourage you to try and meet your goal one month before departure in order for Just Giving to forward your Project specific donations onto our MAD Foundation.

    MAD Sponsorship Pledge Form – for collecting pledges in cash before transferring them online via JustGiving

    MAD Fundraising Certificate – to show you are signed up to a Project in Ghana

    MAD Fundraising Pack – to help kick start some ideas for activities you may wish to do pre-trip

     

    What is Not Included?

     

    Flights - please budget for separately depending on where you are flying from.

    Travel Insurance

    Travel Visas (where required)

    Personal Vaccinations/Medication

    Accommodation, food, transport prior to the Project start date, and if you choose to leave the project site at weekends

    Personal spending money (for souvenirs, weekend travel etc)

     

    Health and Travel Visas

     

    Depending on your travel history, you should check if you need travel jabs or boosters from your GP or travel nurse – antimalarials may be needed to be taken daily and the cost depends on what your doctor recommends but budget around £60 to £70 for these.

    A Single Entry Tourist Visa for most project countries will cost you from £30 to £80.

     

    For Custom Groups and Teams we are able we can operate a date and itinerary to suit you

    depending your group size and fundraising budget to all our Project Sites.
