Located in the foothills of Kilimanjaro, working amongst a groupbuilding and/or teaching. This is a chance to experience Tanzanian lifeand also help out while you are there. If you choose to do a projectyou would be living in a rural village with a group of people and a madcrew leader and helping with a building and teaching project in yourvillage.
This is a 2 or 5 week project where you would work alongside the localsand your group, lifting, carrying,mixing, painting and getting stuck into finish the building. Past examples have been building classrooms forchildren to have lessons, toilets to improve sanitation, health clinicsto provide medical practices etc... it's great to work side by sidewith your team and the community and see the building finished andready for use.
You would also spend time teaching English and other subjects to thelocal children. Teaching is a great way to take your enthusiasm andenergy and put it across in the classrooms to encourage the children tolearn subjects that can help them in the future.. some people willcoach sport after school where the kids will play bare foot but stillbomb across the ground! The weekends are free for you to explore moreof the country.
