Living in regional towns or cities with a team of other venturers and Madventurer Crew, you will be volunteering in local schools, hospitals, clinics, orphanages, radio stations and newspapers, assisting with daily tasks and taking on new responsibilities.

Madventurer has established long-term relationships with our project partners ensuring that you are given every opportunity to experience and learn first-hand the day-to-day skills and techniques of your work placement.



Tailored to suit your interests and level of experience, each project is thoroughly researched and set up in advance by Madventurer Crew who will continue to provide all the introductions, advice and support you need throughout your project.

As well as making a valuable contribution by helping out and offering a fresh perspective, you will learn and develop new skills whilst experiencing the culture & society of a vibrant foreign town or city, giving you the perfect base to explore the country at weekends.

Each destination has a Madventurer house where you live for the duration of your project. Each Madventurer house has a UK crew member that looks after you and the placements during your stay.

Urban projects are totally flexible and are designed to suit your interests, experience and level of confidence. The most popular projects are teaching, journalism, medicine and social care however it is often possible to arrange opportunities other areas.

When you’ve finished all your hard work, there’s a chance to stretch your wings and explore even more by joining other venturers on an awesome overland odyssey.
