Madventurer's story starts at Newcastle Univeristy when it's founder, John Lawler, started a wee society to take out fellow students in 1998. A year later 20 students went out to Ghana for a summer of a lifetime and Madventurer was born.....
Over 10 years later, Madventurer still takes out predominantly university students and gap year students from around the world, however, we firmly believe that this type of travel experience should be open to everyone as it not only is life changing for the traveller but also makes a massive difference to each host community that partners up with us.
We operate overseas 12 months of the year in almost all of our 10 Project destinations and there is an Adventure departing almost everyday of the year in many more countries through our travel partners.
