East Africa Beach and Bush

The ultimate summer MAD adventure, rafting in Jinja, climbing Mt Kenya, safaris and finale on the beaches of Mombasa.

The Mad Beach & Bush is a 21 day overland adventure travelling through Kenya This amazing trip takes you on a remarkable journey through some of East Africa's best game parks and most stunning landscapes. In the beautiful Great Rift Valley you visit Lake Naivasha with its many varieties of birdlife and families of hippos.

Take a walking safari through Crescent Island or cycle through Hell's Gate National Park, where the volcanic scenery is home to giraffes, zebra and gazelle. The soda lake at Lake Nakuru National Park is also not to be missed as it is home to hundreds of thousands of flamingos and pelicans, the white and black rhino population, and even leopards.

At Nanyuki there is an option to challenge yourself to trek Africa's second highest mountain, Mt Kenya, or else travel up to Samburu National Reserve via Sweetwaters and step back in time to wild Kenya, home to the Samburu people in their traditional dress and colourful beads, the arid landscape stretching out in every direction.

Maasai Mara, one of Africa's best game parks, presents the breathtaking picture of Africa, great plains dotted with acacia trees, giraffes roaming in the distance, herds of zebra, gazelle, buffalo and wildebeest, lions lazing in the sun, and the tall elegant Maasai grazing their cows. July and August is the time when wildebeest, in their hundreds of thousands, begin a long streaming journey north from the Serengeti to the Maasai Mara, which, if we are lucky enough to witness this migration, you'll be taking part in one of nature's most awe inspiring experiences.

There's time to hit the dance floor in Simbas next door until the early hours of the morning before heading to the Indian Ocean to Tiwi Beach, a quiet palm fringed beach with long stretches of golden sands, an off shore coral reef. Here you can relax to the sound of lapping waves, snorkel among the tropical fish, and feast on seafood, your last days by the coast are the chance to relax and enjoy and digest your time in Africa!

Climbing Mt.Kenya This four-day mountain trek takes you to the top of Mount Kenya's third highest peak, Point Lenana. It is the highest peak that you can reach without having to do any technical climbing, yet still stands at a lofty 16,800ft above sea level.
