Fundraising

Like most charities we cannot make a difference without vital funds.

We are keen to support anybody that wants to help us make a difference, every single penny given to the Foundation will go directly to pay for building and project costs in developing countries to benefit the local community and won't be spent on UK administration, which are covered by key supporters, our trustees and volunteers.

Justgiving for fundraisers

This is a fantastic free of charge facility that allows you to build your own mini-webpage for all your supporters to learn of your fundraising event or activity and commit to sponsoring you online. The link can be sent via e-mail to everyone you know!!

How to raise funds

Ask local organisations, family and friends to sponsor you to do something challenging to raise funds. It doesnít matter whether itís big, small, straight-forward or a little crazy, every penny will help. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Climb the Three Peaks or even Kilimanjaro or Machu Picchu! http://www.madventurer.com/charity-challenges.html
  • Shave your head or beard
  • Organise a charity football or rugby match
  • Wash cars, mow lawns, baby-sit in your neighbourhood
  • Arrange a charity Art exhibition, auction or other entertainment event
  • Arrange a beach party/ picnic for family and friends, make a lot of the food etc. yourself and make good profit from ticket sales.
  • Organise a charity football or rugby match
  • Organise a charity Gig like our Newcastle Uni Interns did this December 2011
  • Arrange a home brew festival for your friends and family
  • Car boot sale
  • Quiz night
  • Arrange a non-uniform day and work or school and ëfineí all of your colleagues
  • Help promote a local business in return for a share of a dayís sales e.g. a penny in a pint from your local pub

Anything that you can do safely and securely will be beneficial and we are always happy to keep in touch and let you know how your donation has helped.
