To date, the MAD Foundation has helped build and renovate schools, pre-schools, orphanages, clinics, water and sanitation systems; provided scholarships, workshops and placements throughout Africa, South America, and South East Asia; creating life-changing projects for developing communities and volunteers alike.
For those who do not wish to travel overseas there are many other ways you can actively take part through fundraising for the MAD Foundation. Every penny raised for the MAD Foundation directly benefits communities in the developing world, with all funds going to community projects for the purchase of building materials and equipment.
Without the support of volunteers, donors, sponsors and supporters, our valuable work would not exist. Please help us to keep the developing world helping itself. Make A Difference.
Global
The UN estimates that 100 million kids of primary-school age are not enrolled at school, and that 1 in 7 of the 7 billion people on the planet do not have the ability to read – shocking - we all need to do something and we can all be a part of the bigger picture to solve the problem.
Fact: Madventurer and the MAD (Make A Difference) Foundation through partnering with villages have built over 100 Schools and we need to build over 100 more across the developing world. We have also built clinics, and have built over 100 village toilets and many other community development projects that have helped advance education for 1000’s of kids and helped towards alleviating poverty. We are all about action and results.
With all the financial turmoil that is happening in our own country and elsewhere, we have seen people’s mindset change to focus on the desire to help others who are in a worse position and this is where the MAD Foundation is in a position to help both here and overseas.
The impact that the MAD Foundation has is enormous (currently over 4000 Madventurer Volunteers who have seen Projects first hand).
Our goal is to help this global problem and make the biggest impact in helping’ to advance education and alleviate poverty anywhere in the world’ (MAD Foundation’s mission).
These include the building of…
128 classrooms, 80 toilet blocks and pit latrines, 12 pre-schools, 1 HIV clinic, 1 green house, 1 kitchen with a bread oven, 100 sinks and wash stations, 1 technical block, 8 permanent houses and 20 fishing boats destroyed by the 2004 Tsunami, 13 Water tanks, 8 playgrounds, 5 bridges, 5 chicken coops, 5 storm-drains, 2 bakeries,1 Fish farm and a guinea pig shed!
Planted over 25000 trees, dug and laid 25 miles of water pipeline, taught 85,000 lessons, coached 63,000 sports sessions, renovated 6 orphanages a 1 home for street kids!
By enabling sustainable projects and facilities, focusing on key areas such as education, child welfare, primary healthcare, health education and employment skills, the MAD Foundation supports indigenous communities in creating better opportunities and scope for further development.
Every penny raised by the MAD Foundation directly benefits communities in the developing world, with all monies going directly to community projects for the purchase of building materials and equipment. All our running costs are absorbed by a small number of key partners and by our trustees. Madventurer staff also donate their time for free.
To date the MAD Foundation has helped build and renovate schools and pre-schools, built orphanages, clinics, workshops, water and sanitation systems, provided scholarships throughout Africa, South America, and South East Asia, life-changing projects which are not or can not be funded by government.
The MAD Foundation is constantly challenged by the need to raise funds to allow us to assist more communities in the developing world.
Without the support of donators, sponsors, supporters and volunteers our valuable work would not exist. Giving to charity can take many forms and whilst a monetary donation will always be most welcome there are other ways in which you can support us. Please help us to keep the developing world helping itself; in any way that you can.

UK Teen Dreams - http://ukteendreams.com/
UK Teen Dreams firstly aims to educate teens about the importance of charity and giving and inspire them to improve lives of people in developing countries as well as giving a select and special few to see first hand how their fundraising has improved lives. In 2010, Teen Queen was introduced to the MAD Foundation and all the work we do across the world. They were fortunate enough to visit some of their projects in Ghana with four teenagers from the UK. As Lina Perrini, National Director at Teen Queen UK Ltd, explains " All our lives were touched and we were all truly moved by what we saw. We also discovered that small changes make a huge difference and we really came to understand that teenagers really want to help - and Teen Dreams was born!
"In 2011 we hope to continue to build UK Teen Dreams by raising teen awareness and raising more funds for the MAD Foundation and changing lives for the better and in continuing to inspire teens in the UK. Our aim is to educate, improve and inspire future generations to build better lives and give hope to the less fortunate. In a world driven by money, fame and material possessions the objective of UK Teen Dreams is to enable teens across the UK to realise their full potential by making a few simple changes in their lives they can make a huge difference to the lives of others in developing countries.
"By touching the lives of the people in these projects, our teens will grow into well rounded, caring, kind individuals and confident adults. UK Teen Dreams will give teens a purpose and a real understanding of the importance of charity."
Leylas Shia Fundraising Page - Teen Queen Finalist 2010
Target: £2,000.00 - Raised so far: £2,547.98
"I am a finalist for Miss Teen Queen and one of my categories is Miss Charity Princess whereby I am raising money for a local Community/Village in Ghana. The key focus is youth development and the provision and improvement of health, education and sanitation facilities. The main village I am hoping to fundraise for is called 'Shia' which has a population of 3000 people whereby 70% are under 18 years old! I am very keen to make a difference for adults and children who are not as fortunate as I to be granted with schools, materials and facilities to gain an education and have a better chance for a future. If I am successful in raising my target I may be fortunate enough to attend this village and participate with the people who live there and see how the money is being spent. Please give generously because it is for a very good cause and you can make a difference in many childrens lives.
So please dig deep and donate now - http://www.justgiving.com/LeylaTeenQueen"
