Travelling north to south, from the tree-lined streets of Hanoi to the motorbike mayhem of Saigon, experience the stunning mountains and colourful hilltribes of Sapa and her surrounds, the mystique of Halong Bay, charming Hoi An and chilled-out Nha Trang. There's also plenty of time to shop, relax and explore on your own. So grab your backpack and head to Vietnam!

Lose yourself in the chaos of Vietnam's capital, Dive into the emerald-green waters of Halong Bay, Meet the Montagnards in the mountains of Sapa, Witness H'mong courtship rituals in the amazing Love Market, Learn about Vietnam's imperial past in Hue, Explore the age-old streetscapes of Hoi An, Swim in the South China Sea, Crawl down a Cu Chi Tunnel.

Day 1 Hanoi

Immerse yourself in the chaos of the city streets or take a relaxing stroll around the mirror-like Hoan Kiem Lake.

Days 2-4 Halong Bay

Glide past stunning limestone islands, fill up on fresh seafood and splash in the salty green waters of the bay before spending a night on the jungle-clad island of Cat Ba.

Day 5 Sapa

This misty former hill station seems a world away from the rest of Vietnam. Meet friendly Blue H'mong and resplendent Red Dao tribespeople in the markets, selling handmade wares.

Days 6-8 Ta Van

It's a long trek along buffalo trails to our Giay homestay, but this unique cultural experience makes the hike totally worth it. Trek through the villages of the H'mong and Dao to learn about each tribe's distinct identity.

Days 9-10 Hanoi

Back in the capital, there's time to sight-see some more or shop before boarding the Reunification Express south.

Days 11-13 Hue

The former imperial city of Hue is home to all sorts of royal relics - a citadel modelled on Beijing's Forbidden City, the Nguyen emperors' tombs, and even a pair of royal chopsticks. Journey south, travelling over the spectacular Hai Van Pass.
