Uganda - A taste of Africa, 27 days Entebbe to Zanzibar

Safari through Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania to discover the charm and beauty of the lush tropical world of Uganda. Zig zag across the Equator to safari on the sweeping savanna plains of the Serengeti each month, as well as the Masai Mara (13th May to 5th Oct departures only), the Serengeti and Mara being the combined stage for the world famous migration of wildebeest, zebra and Thomson's gazelle, finishing on the exotic spice island of Zanzibar.

These trips depart once or twice per month. The trip costs £420, with a local payment of £236, this should be paid on the first day of your trip locally.

days 1 - 5 UGANDA
Entebbe - Predeparture meeting, Lake Victoria, Kampala, The Roya Drum Makers, Lake Bunyoni, The Virungas.

Optionals: Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Reserve, mountain gorilla trek (Either Parc Nacional de Volcans (Rwanda) or Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (Uganda).

days 6 - 15 UGANDA - KENYA
Jinja, The White Nile and Bujagali Falls, The Masai Mara from departures 18 May to 13 Oct only/Queen Elizabeth National Park and game cruise on Kazinga Channel on the other months, Lake Nakuru National Park, game drives, Elsamere, Lake Naivasha, Maasai Village, Sheldrick's Animal Orphanage, Giraffe Park, Nairobi.

Optionals: whitewater rafting, assisting in a local school, quad biking, horse riding, Hells Gate National Park with a visit to the Maasai Cultural Centre, Crater Lake guided walk, Crescent Island.

days 16 - 26
TANZANIA
Ngorongoro Crater, game drive, Mto Wa Mbu, A Maasai Boma (village), Arusha, views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam.

Optionals: Serengeti National Park, camel safari, Kilimanjaro base camp hikes (18 May to 13 Oct 08 departures only), 4 days on Zanzibar island visiting Stone Town, Prison Island, scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming with the dolphins, viewing the red colobus monkeys and other activities such as a spice tour.

All camping whilst with the truck. Breakfast and dinner whilst with the truck. Some prepared barbecues and a contribution to a restaurant meal in Nairobi.

Sheldrick's Elephant Sanctuary, Elsamere for afternoon tea, and the Giraffe Park. A Maasai village visit.

Any remaining funds in your kitty are returned to you at the end of the trip.
