This is a fast paced trip that encompasses the sea, the desert, mountains and Kasbahs so to cover all this ground in a short amount of time means some long travel days. With plenty of interest along the way though, it is a fabulous trip of 9 action packed days encompassing the best icons of Morocco.

Mingle with the locals in Marrakesh's Djemaa el-Fna, Take a 4WD and camel safari across the Sahara desert, Enjoy the beautiful kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, Trek in the remote High Atlas Mountains, Experience the coastal calm of Essaouira.

These trips depart weekly. The trip costs £340, with a local payment of 150 Euros, this should be paid on the first day of your trip locally.

Day 1 Marrakesh

Arrive early to explore the monuments of vibrant Marrakesh, from its beautiful tropical gardens to the Koutoubia Mosque.

Day 2 Imlil/Aremd

Pass the lion-guarded gates and cypress trees of Kasbah Tamandout. Take in the crisp mountain air and spectacular views on a trek up to the remote Armed from the village of Imlil. Looking out to Mount Toubkal, Armed is home for the night.

Day 3 Ait Benhaddou

Follow in the footsteps of the gold, ivory and slave traders who once stopped in this magnificent clay kasbah on their journey across the Sahara. A UNESCO World Heritage site, this is one of the most beautiful kasbahs in all of Morocco.

Day 4 Desert Safari

Travel through the stunning Draa Valley and across the shifting sands of the Sahara by camel to a memorable night sleeping under the stars in a desert camp.

Day 5 Taroudannt

It's a long drive, but zipping over dunes and past lush oases makes our 4WD drive jeep journey to the red walls of Taroudannt worthwhile. The stunning town is laid-back but highly atmospheric, and its bustling markets are the best place to pick up a souvenir or two.

Days 6-7 Essaouira

Leave the verdant valleys of the High Atlas Mountains behind and journey back towards the coast. Picture-perfect Essaouira is a pleasant place to unwind, with its pretty harbour, sandy beaches and whitewashed houses.

Days 8-9 Marrakesh

The journey ends where it began - in busy Marrakesh. Take in the brilliant colours, spicy scents and enticing sounds of the souqs, and don't miss a trip to the intricate Saadian tombs.
