Share your passion for football by joining us on a football coaching project in Ghana! Plan and run sessions, pass on your knowledge, gain invaluable coaching experience, train and play with local teams and share in Ghana's enthusiasm and love for the beautiful game!

Football in Ghana has never been so popular. 2006 saw Ghana debut in the World Cup, Ghanaian Footballers such as Essien at Chelsea are making an impact all over the World and to top it all Ghana is hosting the African Nations Cup in 2008,Everyone is watching it, talking about it and playing it, and now you have an opportunity to be a part of it!

Project Details: There are two main clubs in Accra that Madventurer work with, one is 'A Touch of Bronze FC' who are based in the noth east region of Accra and the second 'Dynamo FC' who are a Mad Foundation sponsored team who are based in Ho, the Volta Region capital, around 3 hrs from Accra.

Due to the distance to accra, placements with Dynamo FC occur in blocks and can be an option to just coaching in Accra

Venturers Role: Typically sessions will involve taking the kids through coaching drills, with classes ranging from small to 50+.  There may also be an opportunity to share your knowledge with the team on tactics and general fitness of the team.

FA coaching qualifications are useful but not essential, a reasonable knowledge of the game is necessary as this knowledge can be passed on to the children you coach and most importantly a willingness to lead and motivate the kids

Accommodation: Whilst on your project you'll be staying in the Madventurer house, where you can share your days events over dinner with other venturers doing teaching, orphanage, Healthcare and journalism projects. The house is a great place to hang out, with a relaxed and laid back vibe - perfect after a hard days work! The house is also used by venturers starting and ending their community projects in rural areas so there is also the opportunity to meet many other people on different projects. As many venturers use the house we sometimes use our large frame tents with lino flooring and bunk beds which are larger and cooler than the accommodation in the main building, all inside a large compound with its own 24/7 security. Local Ghanaian food is provided at the house during set meal times but you are free to explore Accra’s many restaurants which cater for all tastes. On weekends you can either choose to stay in the city, or get out there and see the country. If you need them, our experienced crew are on hand 24 hours a day to provide support, assistance with any problems that you may have and share their insider knowledge on Ghana..
