Watch the colours dance across the sand dunes in Soussusvlei, explore the Okavango Delta in a dugout canoe and get to know the San Bushmen as privileged guests on an overnight village stay. From cosmopolitan Cape Town to the sheer might of Victoria Falls, this action-packed African journey is irresistible.

Head out tracking and gathering with the San Bushmen, Camp amid the harsh beauty of the Spitzkoppe, Climb a giant sand dune in Sossusvlei, Explore the banks of the Orange River, View the mighty Victoria Falls, Gaze into the depths of Fish River Canyon, Watch seals frolic on the shores of Cape Cross.

This trip also runs in reverse (Livingstone to Cape Town)

This trip departs fortnightly and has a local kitty payment of approx US$630 depending on departure date.  You also need to budget seperately for USD$220 for meals not included.

Day 1 Cape Town

Set amid dramatic scenery and boasting vineyards, adventure activities, restaurants and cafes, Cape Town is a delight.

Days 2-3 Western Cape/ Orange River

Explore the riverbanks, relax at the camp or canoe down the scenic Orange River.

Day 4 Fish River Canyon

Catch a sunset over spectacular Fish River Canyon.

Days 5-6 Sesriem/ Sossusvlei

Climb atop the world's highest sand dunes in the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Wake early to witness sunrise over the golden dunes.

Days 7-8 Swakopmund

Enjoy adventure activities in this old German colony, an oasis between the desert and the ocean.

Days 9-10 Spitzkoppe

Rising dramatically from the dusty plains, the 1728 m Spitzkoppe is an impressive sight.

Days 11-12 Etosha National Park

From big carnivores to over 340 bird species, there's plenty to spot on this adventure into the vast Etosha.

Day 13-14 San Bushmen Camp

Head out tracking and gathering with the San Bushmen, then pick up a few words of the local 'clicking' language during an overnight village stay.

Day 15-16 Okavango Delta

Explore the Delta's vast reed beds and maze of waterways on board a mokoro, a traditional dugout canoe.

Day 17 Bagani Community Camp

Relax in laidback Bagani and perhaps enjoy some of the optional activities, from boat trips to fishing and hiking.

Days 18-19 Chobe National Park

Perhaps spy swimming elephants, wallowing hippos or sun-loving crocs on a cruise along the Chobe River.

Days 20-22 Victoria Falls/ Livingstone

Admire the mighty thundering Victoria Falls, a fitting finale to this epic adventure.
