How to apply

Here's a step by step guide on how to confirm a place on your MAD Challenge


1. Where to Apply

Once you have chosen your trip and departure date you will need to do an Online Application Form from our website so we have all your contact and travel details. Before you do click through to the Apply Page please make a note of the Project, the start date and how long you want to volunteer for so you can enter the details along with personal information.


2. Trip Cost Payment

We provide fundraising targets / costs in both GBP £ and USD $ as we have many UK and US nationalities join us on our Projects. 

Please select which currency best suits your own needs.

Payment Schedule

A £250 deposit (or $300 deposit) is required to confirm booking for all Projects. The deposit is the same for all of our Projects. You are required to pay this non-refundable deposit for your place to be confirmed and for us to finalize everything on the ground prior to your arrival.

Your Madventure Program Manager will help you prepare everything for you pre-trip, including taking any Madventure deposit or balance payments. Once they have confirmed you a place, they will also guide you on how to set up your fundraising page on JustGiving, or alternatively show you how this can be paid in one online payment if you do not wish to fundraise.

If you are a super brilliant fundraiser who likes to beat any fundraising targets, then we encouraged to meet or exceed your fundraising target to help further the work of the Charity and also to ask your sponsors to gift aid their payments if they are UK residents. You can also pay any fundraising shortfall on your JustGiving page using your own card by the due date.

To secure your place you will need to sign up here and pay a deposit of £250 or $300 for any Project or Adventure Challenge.

Please note that for Custom Groups the costs may be different depending on the final itinerary, what date you all wish to travel and participation numbers set by the Team Leader of your school, college, organisation or club.


3. Pre-departure Information

Once you are all signed up we will then send you over a Pre-departure Email which will give you details on what to do next.  This will include information on how to organising flights, travel insurance, innoculations, visas and airport transfers.  We can help you with all these details don't worry.


4. Before you Go

You will need to take down your Project Leaders contact details from the website a few days before you head off. Its important to review or print off a fresh set of Project Overviews just in case there have been any updates that you need to be aware of.

There is a lot to get organised and its very important that you give yourself enough time to get sorted.  You will need to sort out visas, inoculations, flights, travel insurance, airport transfers. We can help to advise on all these details as part of your Pre-departure email that is sent out when you book up so happy days!
