Latest Blog Post from Shaun doing his IronMan South Africa MAD Challenge:
So, I have been posting a few updates of my running and cycling habits on various social media places recently and have had a fair few people get in touch to ask politely (some not so politely mind you) firstly just why and secondly to stop because I am making them feel lazy. Well, in response to these asks, its fine to be lazy sometimes, thats what Sunday afternoons are made for, and as for the why, there are two very good reasons....
I am training for a Half IronMan taking place in East London, South Africa on 29th January.

But more importantly I am doing it to raise awareness and funds for a fantastic Charity, MAD, which helps people in some of the world's poorest countries to help themselves through grassroots initiatives. Let's make a difference together through funding some of their incredible projects.
I honestly believe that through support and education we can help people rise up and understand a new potential for themselves and eventually realise it.
"Give a person a fish, they'll eat for a day, teach a person how to fish and they'll eat for a lifetime."
Some more wise wordsfrom an icredible man and another reason why I chose MAD and their focus on grass roots education...
