A safari from the savanna plains of East Africa and the dramatic scenery of the Rift Valley to visit magical Zanzibar and Lake Malawi, to stand by the mighty Zambezi as it plummets over Victoria Falls, climb the monumental dunes of Namibia, arriving in Cape Town at the foot of Table Mountain at the end of our journey.
This adventure has a local kitty of approx US$900 which is paid in country on day 1 of the adventure.

Days 1 - 8
KENYA
Nairobi - Predeparture meeting, Rift Valley Look Out, morning and afternoon game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Naivasha, morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara.
Optionals: Safari Walk, Hells Gate National Park, Crater Lake Sanctuary, Elsamere for afternoon tea, Hippo cruise, visit in a Maasai Village, The Giraffe Park, Sheldrick's Animal Orphanage.
Days 9 - 12
TANZANIA
Drive through to Arusha, with evening celebratory barbecue on our return from the game parks.
Optionals: Afternoon and morning game drives in the Serengeti National Park, afternoon drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation area, morning game drives in Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge Museum, camel safari.
Days 13 - 19
TANZANIA including 4 nights allotted for a stay on Zanzibar Island....
Two days drive to Dar es Salaam on the coast, the chance of views of Kilimanjaro en route, seafood barbecue at our camp by the Indian Ocean, preparations for Zanzibar Island stay.
Optionals: Free time for the option to visit Zanzibar Island from day 15, returning to Dar es Salaam on day 19:
Talk with us as to the special arrangements we can make for your stay on Zanzibar. We reserve accommodation in popular beach cottages and in a lodge within the ancient capital, Stone Town as well as your other requirements including ferry bookings, transfers and spice tours. Other options to budget for include snorkelling excursions to Prison Island famous for its giant tortoise, as well as Mnemba Atoll, dolphin boat trips, the mangrove walk in Jozani Forest to see the red colobus monkeys, scuba diving. All accommodation and transfers including a spice tours on Zanzibar Island can be arranged ahead of time.
Days 20 - 29
TANZANIA - MALAWI-ZAMBIA
Drive through Mikumi National Park, Lake Malawi beach resorts, visit traditional fishing villages, with a traditional meal and dancing, curio markets, Lilongwe, a guided game drive in South Luangwa National Park (depending on the season). Alternatively we head through to Hwange National Park after our houseboat stay.
Optionals: Water sports, horse riding, village walk and school visit, plateau walk, evening game drives in South Luangwa.
Days 29 - 36
ZAMBIA (ZIMBABWE)
Lusaka, Lake Kariba, Livingstone and the Victoria Falls.
Optionals: Kariba houseboats including a guided game walk, lion walks, rhino trek, elephant rides, white water rafting, bungee jump, gorge swing and abseil, Flight of the Angels, sunset cruise, interactive drumming, township tour, canoe excursions, horse rides and many other activities at the Falls.
Days 37 - 41
BOTSWANA
Chobe Safari Lodge, Makgadikgadi Pans, Maun.
Optionals: Chobe National Park, Flights over the Delta, Okavango Delta mokoro safari, Moremi Game Reserve.
Days 42 - 46
NAMIBIA
Caprivi Strip, morning and afternoon game drives with entry and two nights camping in Etosha National Park, visit to a cheetah sanctuary, Spitzkoppe or similar.
Optionals:Hoba meteorite, evening game drives, Himba visit, rock engravings.
Days 47 - 51
NAMIBIA
Cape Cross Seal Colony, three to four night lodge stay or similar in Swakopmund.
Optionals: Open sea fishing, township tour, dune buggies, quad biking, sand boarding, go-karting, tandem sky diving, dolphin boat trip, desert flights.
Days 52 - 58 Drive through to Sossusvlei, Namib Naukluft National Park, Fish River Canyon, Ai Ais, camp by the Orange River, Stellenbosh, drive through to spend the final evening in Ashanti Lodge, Cape Town. Optionals: Guided walk on the dunes, Rafting on the Orange River, wine tour. Special note: This itinerary extends by two days from the 30th July 2011 to allow time to visit Matopos for a rhino trek and Antelope Park. From this date we will not visit South Luangwa. Please note safari itineraries are given as a guide only. A safari is a journey and true journeys in Africa unfold and are of an adventurous nature. The unexpected can arise, so do allow for this.
