Day 1 Kathmandu

Full of temples and stupas, rickshaws and markets, Kathmandu is an intoxicating start to any adventure. Visit the Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP) to learn about responsible trekking before the exciting challenges ahead.

Days 2-13 Everest Base Camp

This famous peak is the ultimate goal for mountaineers worldwide. Follow in the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay along a remote mountain path, crossing glaciers, traipsing valleys and scaling high passes on this adventure to Base Camp. Resting overnight in teahouses, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the diversity of Himalayan traditions and religions and gain insight into the Sherpa culture. On day nine, make the final ascent to the foot of the world’s highest peak. Take in spectacular vistas over the Himalayas and delight in the sense of accomplishment. Visit isolated monasteries and pass through mountain settlements on the the descent into Lukla.

Days 14-16 Kathmandu

The flight from Lukla back to the capital is brief but incredibly rewarding, with great views back across recently conquered Himalayan slopes. Soak up Kathmandu’s lively atmosphere with a spot of shopping, a visit to see the resident monkeys at Swayambhunath, or a leisurely afternoon at a cafe with a spiced chai

Day 17 Bandipur

Enjoy a day relaxing in this tiny village that offers fantastic views of what’s to come.

Days 18-34 Annapurna Circuit

Be immersed in the spectacular mountain wilderness that encompasses the Annapurna Range. See waterfalls of melted snow, cross fast-flowing rivers and traverse broad plains while trekking the Annapurna Circuit. Not only visually superb, this region is also cuturally rich. Discover traditional mountain communities, isolated monasteries and friendly locals herding yaks on grassy plains. High-altitude trekking can be incredibly difficult, but the spectacular scenery, an encouraging guide and the odd dip in natural hot springs keeps motivation levels high.

Day 35 Pokhara

Stretch weary muscles on a stoll around the lake, or take a well-deserved break in one of Pokhara’s lovely lakeside cafes.

Days 36-37 Kathmandu

Back in the capital, there is time for more sightseeing. Perhaps head to Pashupatinath on the holy Bagmati River.
